Mökki installation at Annantalo

The exhibition was designed in collaboration with Aalto University’s School of Arts, Design and Architecture and School of Chemical Technology. Their inspiration for the work were childhood memories of the Finnish natural environment. The exhibition’s Cabin (Mökki) installation, which brings a touch of intimacy to the tea area, was designed and created by students. Finnish wood and paper were used as materials for the installation. The white forest and tree trunks provided the inspiration for the choice of materials.

The project was developed in cooperation with Annantalo Arts Centre, Aalto University’s School of Arts, Design and Architecture and School of Chemical Technology, Sapporo-City, The Asahi Shimbun Foundation, Scandinavia – Japan Sasakawa Foundation and HIECC.
